"And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full.
I've traveled each and ev'ry highway;
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
"No, oh no not me,
I did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!"
sung by Frank Sinatra

Eventhough I don't totally agree with these lyrics (I don't feel that we should do things our way, but God's way) they make a good point. one should never give up no matter what is wrong. i just need to keep on reciting that.

arg...the link didn't copy... dawn's blog is at http://saturnleia.blogspot.com

My adventure...what a wonderful time. There are only a few times on your life where you can act of a spur of the moment idea, and last night was just that.

For those you who don't know, there have been meteor showers around the world, and these are the best showers for about 100 years. So what do a bunch of college students do? We go on a hunt to see them. The original plan was to drive out of Ann Arbor enough to see the meteor shower without the city glow. Unfortunatly, the plan was foiled because of weather (cloudy, foggy, and rainy) So, over colliders at Rick's Diner, another (and even more far fetched) plan was hatched. Dawn, Tait, Derek and I decided that was should head out west (Illinois west) to see the meteor shower. With the technology cell phones provide, Alex heared about the plan, and decided to come along.

At about midnight, we were off! Our first stop was at a gas station to fill up the tires of Dawn's car. After about 2 hours of driving in the car, we arrived at Derek's house in Three Oaks, MI. The stop there consisted of making hot chocolate and checking the radar for new developments in the cloud cover. The plan was changed from going west of Chicago to just north of Champiegn. After almost another 3 hours in the car, we past the cloud cover and took the next exit on the highway.

We found ourselves in the plains. Seriously, it was flat, totally flat. we found a random road nestled between two fields and set up our spot. we were joking that it would be hilarious is someone drove up and found all 5 of us on the road. what a sight that would be. :o)

The meteor shower was spectacular. i didn't count, but Derek did; he counted over 300 shooting stars in one hour. it was so amazing. near the end, while it was hitting the peak, it was like God was putting on His grand finale.

The trip home was wonderful. we were all sleepy (pronounced seepy by myself) and therefore getting slap-happy. We arrived back in Ann Arbor at 11:00, just in time so i could take a shower and make it to my noon lecture. and i didn't even fall asleep during class!

this was the abridged version. if you want another version, look at i'm sure Dawn's version is better. :o) and now, time is sleep.
